What it does
Set a width in pixels or pick a percentage, and cextool resizes and compresses your images in one pass.
Many uploads only need a certain width: a blog image at 1200 px, a profile picture at 400 px, a thumbnail at 25% size. cextool resizes images to the width you type, or by a percentage, and keeps the aspect ratio so nothing gets stretched.
Resizing happens in the same pass as compression, so the file gets smaller in pixels and in bytes at once. Scaling uses a high-quality filter; switch on Pixel art mode for sharp nearest-neighbour scaling, which keeps pixel art and icons crisp. Drop a folder to resize a whole set to the same width. Smaller dimensions are usually the biggest saving of all: halving the width of a photo cuts its pixel count to a quarter, so the file often shrinks by far more than compression alone could.
Your images are resized on your own device and never uploaded. If you need an exact shape instead of a width, such as a 1500 × 500 header, pick that destination under Fit for and cextool crops or pads it for you.
