What it does

Drop PNG screenshots, logos or artwork and get smaller PNGs that look the same, with transparency intact.

PNG is the format for screenshots, logos, UI graphics and artwork with flat colours or transparency, but PNG files straight from an app are often several times bigger than they need to be. cextool shrinks them in your browser and keeps them as PNG, so they still work anywhere a PNG is expected.

Recommended runs OxiPNG, a lossless optimiser, together with careful colour reduction that keeps gradients smooth. Hard and Extreme reduce colours further for the smallest files, and a before/after slider shows exactly what changed. Transparency is always kept, and pixel art mode keeps hard edges crisp when you also resize. PNG is lossless by design, which is why exports from Figma, Photoshop or a screenshot tool carry far more data than the picture needs; most of the saving comes from smarter compression and fewer, carefully chosen colours.

Nothing is uploaded: your screenshots may contain private messages or client work, and here they never leave your device. Drop a whole folder to compress a website's or an app's assets in one go.

Questions

Will my PNG lose quality?
Recommended keeps it visually the same. Pick Lossless in More options when every pixel must stay identical.
Is transparency kept?
Yes. Transparent and semi-transparent areas stay exactly as they were.
How much smaller will my PNG get?
Screenshots and flat graphics often shrink by more than half. Photos saved as PNG shrink less; JPG or WebP suits them better.
Can I compress many PNGs at once?
Yes. Drop a folder or many files and download them all as one ZIP.
Does it work for pixel art?
Yes. Lossless keeps every pixel, and Pixel art mode keeps edges sharp if you also resize.
