What it does
Turn JPG photos into PNG files for editors, print shops and apps that ask for PNG, without uploading anything.
Some editors, print shops, design tools and app stores ask for PNG. cextool converts JPG and JPEG images to PNG in your browser, keeping every pixel of the photo exactly as it decodes, and lets you convert a whole folder at once.
A PNG made from a JPG is lossless from that point on, so you can edit and save it repeatedly without adding new compression artefacts. It will usually be larger than the JPG, because PNG doesn't throw detail away. Need transparency? Use Remove background in Edit after converting. This is also useful for design work: a PNG layer in Figma, Canva or Procreate won't pick up new JPG artefacts every time you export, and you can add transparency later. For sharing or uploading, though, the original JPG is usually the better, smaller choice.
Everything happens on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, and location and camera metadata are removed by default. Your original JPG files are never changed.
