What it does
Drop JPG or JPEG photos and get smaller files that look the same, ready for email, forms and websites.
Photos from phones and cameras are often 3 to 10 MB each, far more than email, upload forms or websites need. cextool compresses JPG and JPEG files with MozJPEG, the encoder behind Squoosh, and keeps them as JPG so they open everywhere.
Recommended keeps photos visually the same at normal viewing size. Hard and Extreme go further for listings, blogs and messaging, and a before/after slider shows the difference before you download. If a form needs a fixed size, set a target in More options or use the 100 KB tool. Because MozJPEG is tuned for how people see photos, it usually saves a third to two thirds of the size at the same visual quality, and progressive encoding makes the photo appear sooner on slow connections.
Your photos stay on your device. Location and camera details are removed from the result by default, which matters for personal pictures, and you can keep them by unticking one box.
